Monitored Access to Groenkloof

Groenkloof entrances are monitored by Axon with a Smart Intelligent Camera system and trained security guards on the lookout for potential security risks and criminal activities.

Only the two gates (Wenning and Baines) remain open between 6pm and 6am. 

24-Hour Street Patrol

The area has a 24 hour patrol vehicle, constantly on the look out for suspicious activity and always on call to provide a Meet & Greet service to members.  Members can phone the vehicle at any time if concerned about suspicious activity. 

Alarm Monitoring and Response

GSI works in partnership with Axon and provides alarm monitoring and response as part of the GSI membership fee.

WhatsApp Security Alerts

Members become part of the GSI Security Alert group, providing instant information when suspicious activity is spotted in the area. It is monitored by Axon and the patrol vehicle. Members can also comment on the group if they see suspicious activity.

Meet and Greet Service

Members who feel unsafe returning home, can phone the 24-hour patrol vehicle to escort them home. Phone 083 781 4489 at least 10 minutes before departure or arrival.

Access to Engelen-burg sliding gate

GSI members can request access to the Engelenburg sliding gate, to be able to enter or leave the area with an activated phone number.

Pedestrian Gate Access

Pedestrian gates can be opened with an activated telephone number. All residents or employees working in the area can get access. 

Numberplate recognised boom-entry

Members and their family/ tenants can add their numberplates on the system for booms to automatically open when entering the Village.

Member House and Car Recognition

All households who are GSI members receive a GSI board outside their premises indication their membership. They should also get stickers to add on their front windscreen to indicate to guards at the gate as well as the patrol vehicle.
